A person died in Lalitpur on Sunday while running out of the house as the latest 4.2-magnitude aftershock with its epicentre in Kavrepalanchok rocked the region at 3:23 pm.
The deceased is 72-year-old Shankha Bahadur Nagarkoti of Itati, Karya Binayak Municipality-15, spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Sector , Deputy Superintendent of Police Kishan Singh Thapa, said.
Nagarkoti, who was lying on bed inside the house which had developed cracks after the April 25 devastating earthquake , died as he fell down while running out after experiencing the quake, spokesman Thapa said.
With this, the death toll due to the earthquake in Lalitpur has reached 177.
